Anne our TSB friend was rushed 2 hospital! URGENT PRAYERS NEEDED!!!

Anne our friend at The Squirrel Board has been rushed to the hospital. They think she had a stroke and her heart is not beating correctly and her blood pressure goes down to 30 every half hour or so. I don't know everything, her son Chaz called and will update me later. I may not be home later to update everyone else if Chaz or Anne need me. I may go spend the night at their house to help with squirrels but PLEASE KEEP ANNE and her son Chaz in your prayers and thoughts.

This is very serious and we need to pray that we don't lose her tonight!

The hospital called in a heart specialist and keep working on her - they have done ultra sounds, CT scans, and other things that I can't remember at the moment and they have no idea what is wrong. The alarms on her keep going off and even the Dr.'s are worried.

UPDATE on Anne Miller:

Anne has had a heart attack. A blood clot in one of her heart arteries blocked the blood flow and the pressure built up and it broke up and went through her body. They gave her medicine to keep the blood thin and she is in CCU at the Orange Park Medical Center in Orange Park Florida. I don't have the number there but it is room 15. She is sleeping tonight because they gave her meds to sleep. Visiting hours start at 8:30 in the morning until 4:00 pm I think.

The Dr.'s haven't found the blood clot since it left her heart, but are keeping a very close watch on her and have all kinds of machines hooked up to her monitoring her. Anne is going to need a Stent and a pacemaker put in but they are not doing that right now.

Anne still needs prayers, so please keep them coming. If you want to talk to her son Chas - (I spelled it wrong before, it's not chaz, but Chas) you can contact him on ANNE'S Cell phone. He said he would talk with anyone that called.

UPDATE: If anyone plans on visiting Anne, there can NOT be ANY flowers, food or drink brought to the CCU at Orange Park Medical Center in Orange Park Florida.

I will be going to the hospital tomorrow morning and will let all of you know what is going on again. They are not sure if she had a stroke or not, and I'll find out more on that tomorrow also. After I visit with her I'm going to go to her house and help her son Chas with the squirrels and feeding them etc. So hang on tight, and please continue with the prayers as she still needs them and is not yet out of the woods. I may be getting home later in the afternoon or early evening but I haven't forgotten and will post all I can as soon as I can.

UPDATE: I visited Anne today and she is doing pretty good all things considered. She is still in the CCU (Critical care unit) and the nurses check on her every 15 minutes which is nice. She can't sit up for 6 hours today due to bleeding if she does - too many blood thinners right now. They had to put a camera through her arteries so she'll bleed through the exit point if she doesn't lay flat. Poor thing. She is still hooked up to many many monitors and alarms and lots of tubing in her arms. I'm sure she's a little weak but
Her attitude seems good , and she looks good. All should be ok, and it's probably thanks to everyone praying for her so thank you so much for that.

I stayed 3 hours, waiting for Chas to show up at 9:00 am as he said he was going to but he never came. Her daughter Carolyn came at noon and so I let them have some privacy and went home. I went over to Anne's house hopping that Chas was home so I could help with the squirrels but he had spent the night at his sisters house so the squirrels haven't had any care yet. I am worried about the squirrels and the dogs and cats. I don't want Anne coming home to a mess as she'll need a lot of recovery time I'm sure.

They will be moving her to the 4th floor probably later tonight if all goes well in the CCU and no more problems arise.

Thank you again for caring and the prayers! I told Anne about everyone on here wishing her a speedy recovery and your prayers and she is thankful and pleased to know everyone cares so deeply.

I just spoke with Chas (Anne's son) a little while ago. He said she is feeling much better. It appears she had 3 heart attacks yesterday (2 were minor, if there IS such a thing with a heart attack). He said she is in good spirits, back to her usual joking Anne self. He assured me that all is under control where the squirrels (and now, two possums that he got today) are concerned. The majority of the squirrels are of release age, so no frequent feedings needed. He does have 3 nursing 7 week olds, but they only nurse a few times a day and have been started on solid foods. He feels he can handle them at this point. He was concerned about them having to miss a feeding by a few hours, but I assured him that 7 week old babies won't starve to death if they miss a feeding. He seemed reassured by that. He knows how to take care of the possums. He seemed grateful and just a little overwhelmed by all the offers to help. He said if he gets any more calls for squirrels he will call me and I will go pick them up. My plan is to go visit Anne tomorrow, she is supposed to be moved out of CCU this evening. Keep the prayers coming, Anne will still have a LONG road ahead of her.

For anyone who wasn't in Tampa a few weeks ago, Anne DOES have two Non-releasables: Nancy, who was an eyes closed seizure baby that I took to Anne last summer (no seizures now, just neurologically impaired) and another NR. She was looking for a forever home for those two and I imagine she probably still is. If there is anyone who is looking for a non-releasable could you please let me know? I can let Anne know from there. She really was hoping to rehome those two a few weeks ago. Thanks!

I just got back from visiting Anne. She is in really good spirits joking around and everything. She did ask if anyone happens to have any "jaws of life" lying around and if so, could you please come bust her out of the hospital? As I was getting ready to leave, they were coming in to move her out of the CCU and onto a floor (not LITERALLY the floor, but ya'll know what I mean!!LOL) She said thank you so much for all the prayers and good wishes. She hopes to be home soon. She said she IS still looking for a good home for her NR's Nancy and Stevie. If anyone is interested, please pm me and I will give you details. I know a good amount about Nancy since she was an eyes closed baby with seizures that I took to Anne last summer. Anne filled me in on the rest of Nancy's and Stevie's stories as well. She said she is in the process of releasing all of her overwintered squirrels, but the process is slow. She has many to release, but they really don't require a lot of care (other than getting food bowls filled for the day). She has a couple of nursing babies but they are almost to weaning age. She says she hopes to be home soon and back amongst her animals, which she misses like crazy. She and I are BOTH praying for A) no hurricanes or even strong winds B) extra vigilant mama squirrels that look CAREFULLY before they cross any roads and avoid cats and dogs C) Tree surgeons that ONLY cut down trees that DON'T have squirrel nests in them. Though we both love babies, we DO NOT want a repeat of last year. Anyway, got to run, just wanted to fill you guys in on what is happening with Anne.

Good news! :crazyThe prayers worked! Anne has been discharged from the hospital and is on her way to her daughters house to spend the night there. I'm thankful:thumbsup her daughter can help her out tonight. She said she may even pop onto the squirrel board if she can get to the computer!

She got to stop by her house and feed her babies (Squirrels) and take care of them before her son drove her to her daughters house. So all is well for now, and lets hope the recovery goes well.

4 Skwertz, I am soo glad you got a good report from your test results, we are all relieved that you didn't need emergency care-now keep those check up appointments.
I had been hounding the Cardiologists for a year about my chest pains and irregular heart beats. Every test they did can back negative (said I was fine) None of us got that result Sunday:jump ! I love my neighborhood fire station guy's and I hated that I scared them so terribly! They all enjoyed my 3 year old gray squirrel Mitch jumping on them and trying to raid pockets. Appears several of the guys have had squirrel rescues, he really was a hit:crazy
When Joanne told me where she had posted about my little adventure-I laughed so hard that I was threatened with sedatives:rotfl Now I am home and we all can return this tread heading to it's regularly scheduled programming!!
