Seems like playing to me...the mounting is dominence over the other...but they do look old enough to mate, so you may want to keep an eye on them...

I've seem the squirrels in the wild and when the female is in season, the male dogs her..everywhere she goes, he is on her tail..but doesn't mount her unless he wants his face slapped...at least not until she submits....Hope this helps.

yup, I'm pretty sure they're old enough to mate, they are 8 1/2 months old now and will be released next month. I'm sure they can't wait! :thumbsup

I can’t see the video, but I have heard that siblings will mount for dominance and I’ve also read somewhere but don’t know where that sometimes they “play” mate when their young. Hope that's all it is and hope to see the video soon.
