I keep reading about clipping teeth....Why do they need their teeth clipped? How do I know if they need clipping? Can I do this myself?

Unless they have a malocclusion or perhaps a broken tooth that keeps them from grindign them down naturally, you don't need to trim their teeth! Give them plenty of things to chew on, and they'll take care of themselves.

PBJ is right, unless it's maloclussion or something, you don't need to worry about trimming toothies. So long as the squirrel can grind their own teeth, they'll be fine.
My Lulu-Bean needed her teeth trimmed for a long time. She's finally able to grind them herself, but I still keep an eye on them.

If you're ever worried about your squirrel's toothies, post a picture, and we'll be able to tell if they need trimming. :D
