Even though Mr. Wobbles is still MIA, today a ray of sunshine landed in my lap, or on my deck. I went to hang out some clothes (saving money on electricity for the spring babies) and I saw a tiny puff of brown in the corner of my deck, it was a Brown Creeper (tiny little bird). He/she had hit my high windows and was knocked silly. I brought "Brownie" in and sat him/her on a snuggle safe in a bird cage and covered with a light cloth. I then went to pick up my son from middle school. When we arrived home I told him of my discovery and wanted him to come with me into my office. A teaching moment happens when least expected so I always take advantage of each one of them. When we entered my office, there was movement in the cage. I lifted the cloth off Brownie and he/she was ready for action and release. I cupped him/her in my hand, Ben opened my office window and we released Brownie to continue life. I told Ben it is not everyday you are blessed with saving an animal, each rescue is a gift.
