Spunks Salali

I am making homemade, chemical free, sterilized wood perches. My boyfriend and I use in-perfect condition dried wood, strip the bark off of some of them-leave it on others, sand them down a bit and sterilize them, then put a fastener-washers-and wingnuts on the end. It then goes on the cage.
We recently landed a contract with one of the local pet stores (considering these are non-existent in our area and have been in HIGH demand)
I know for domestic animals (birds, rodents, reptiles, chinchillas, etc) cedar is not good.
We have 2 perches made from white (NOT red) cedar, and obviously are not going to sell them.
My squirrel already has some of our homemade sycamore, dogwood, and maple perches in her cage and LOVES them.
What about the white cedar? Is it ok if we use those 2 mistake perches for Spunks or not?
We hate to waste them after we've put money into making them. :sanp3
Thanks!
