He doesn't open his eyes yet and sleeps most of the time except for when i wake him up to eat...

Geez--mine often don't until between five and six weeks! I know precisely how old many of them are becasue I get them with umbilicals still moist (just born). Maybe it's the altitude?

I have found that mine (mostly foxers) open their eyes between 5 and 6 weeks old, sometimes even 7 or more weeks old. Most rehab books say they open them at 4 weeks, which I have only had happen once with some baby greys.

Chicklet opened hers around six and a half weeks (assuming she really was 2 weeks old when found). But, it was funny...one eye was open for two days before the other decided to do the same! I was calling her 'aye matey!

yep there is!!! I put at the top of one of these that I wasn't sure where to post it so there was two! :)

Little man is going to the vet today. I'm worried about his neck and I want someone to look at him anyway just to be sure. Otherwise he's doing phenomenal! Can't wait to see him open his eyes though!

Well, Jackie--it must be something in the water around here, but most of mine open around 5-6 weeks.

I say they open eyes at 5.5 weeks on average. At five weeks you can see the eyes getting ready to open. Does that baby have his eyes open yet, I could not tell?

Hey Everyone!!

His eyes finally opened yesterday. The left one opened and then a few hours later the right one did.

I also took him to the vet on friday for his neck and they said it could be one of two things... Either it's a puncture from the cat or it could be some kind of worm that burrows into the skin. So she put him on 14 days of baytril. I think it's a puncture from the cat though b/c she flushed it and couldn't see the worm and it's also much better just from a couple of days of meds...

Other than that she said he looks in great health and he should be just fine!
