I rescued a flying squirrel from the neighbors cat. Squirrel is doing fine! Eating and moving around the cage. I'm not sure if it's wild or was someone's pet. (I'm still not sure if it's a flying squirrel or a sugar glider.) It has not made one sound. It's very mild mannered; you can pet it, reach into the cage. He/she has not become defensive at all; just hunkers down as it is very scared. I cannot keep as I have two house cats. Looking for a good home.

We have a member in Tampa who has raised flyers before. I have messaged her.
In the meantime, heat & hydration. Do you have a heating pad that you can put under the container? Set it on low & only under half.
A small shallow dish, less than 1", of water or pedialyte.

Thanks everyone for responding! I called my Vet who had a client who was certified in Wildlife Rescue. She had a litter of 4 other flying squirrels and thought they would all be the same age so he would have "buddies." This little guy was very tiny and fit in the palm of my hand. He was eating very well and very active. A happy ending :thumbsup

Did you give him to someone experienced? This is pic of a flying squirrel and not sugar glider.
