Does anyone know if it is ok to use Oleander branches in squirrel cage? I didn't know if it is toxic and if it is if Luna will instinctually know not to eat it and only climb it.

No! Oleander is poisonous--my understanding.

VERY TOXIC! DEADLY POISON!

Even people can die from ingesting oleander--all parts of the plant are poison, especially the flowers.

Definitely one of the MOST toxic plants out there. All parts are toxic. I won't have them anywhere on my property.

ok thank you. We just cut down a huge tree and had all parts hauled away, except my sweet Husband saved great branches for Luna's bigger cage... poor him so disappointed and tried to be so helpful! Thanks for sharing the knowledge.

Why do you think it is named Oleander?

Thanks FTN. I love your relationship with Bean by the way.... who doesn't! Reminds me of Scurry. She loves me and lets me do whatever to her. The trust she has is remarkable. Hoping Luna will be just as lovey and trusting.
Have a good night.

Luna is Kibbles' twin. She has the same sweet face. I sure am glad to know about Oleanders--not that I was planning to plant any but that sort of info can save a squirley's life! Give Luna a kiss on her sweet head from her "auntie"
