How often should a 5-6 week old squirrel be sleeping? At the moment, my injured squirrel is sleeping the majority of the day, except for when I wake him up to be fed. Please let me know if this is considered normal behavior for a squirrel of its age.

Sounds normal to me. They usually don't get active until 7-8 weeks old. Mine usually are up waiting for their food at feeding time though, I never have to wake them up.

Thanks for the response! Is it normal for them to chirp? Today it has been squeaking from time to time, but the past few days he's been very quiet. Is it because its agitated in some way?
