Good evening all,

If anyone has a pox squirrel in the wild, please let me know. Am trying to have a pox nosode made so that it can be given to squirrels to hopefully immunize them.

Need to collect about 3mls of blood sample from the pox baby. thanks!

I probably have no idea what I'm talking about here, but if you try to develop some kind of innoculation for pox, wouldn't it have to be tested on squirrels who didn't have pox but then were intentionally exposed to the virus to see if the innoculation worked? Not sure I'm "cottoning up" to this idea . . .

THe nosode is a homeopathic prep and when you give it to hopefuly help to immunize them. There are other types of nosode available in the mkt place like WNV and Borrelia. Of course at the end of the day, whether to give it is the decision you have to make. HTH

Here is a little info about nosodes http://www.earthsongranch.com/catalog/Homeopathy_Remedies.pdf

It is your call and your choice ultimately, as to what treatment you choose :D

PBluejay2,

The nosode can be given to hopefully immunize and also to those already have the disease. IMHO, I think there is certainly a place for nosode in addition to the building of the immune system of the squirrels with other herbals eg echinacea, olive leaf etc.

Many people chooses to use nosodes as oppose to vaccines, due to possible the S/E from regular vaccinations for their pets.

Flu nosode is also available and for some who prefers to go the homeopathy route, opt for that instead of the regular vaccine. It is ultimately down to the individual.

I hope you find the link I posted helpful, GB
