Today I noticed a squirrel in my back yard eating wild mushrooms. He seemed to be really enjoying them! I wanted to see if they are safe or not before I give one to Tails... Anyone know? Thanks! :)

If the wilds are eating them, they're safe. I gather wild mushrooms for my flyers all the time - if they're not good for them, they won't eat them.

I always wondered about Amanitas. I go mushroom hunting often, (season starts soon) and the deadly amanitas are always full of little bites, I don't know if it's insects or animals doing it so they must be edible, or are they?
For all I know every bug that munches them might be dead, same goes for the critters or maybe, hopefully they are simply not toxic to them!
There is a saying in the Mycology circles.... Every mushroom is edible, but some only once! :D

:thinking I always thought the red with yellow under side were very poison. The squirrels eat them all the time.
