Does anyone know of any rehabbers in this area. A baby squirrel was found wandering a parking lot on Thursday. Person has tried to contact rehabbers but no one has gotten back to her yet.

If she cant find anything closer, I am willing to meet her half way or do a leg of a squirrel train.

I am in Chandler, AZ zip code is 85248. I am not sure how far away this is, but I can meet them later next week. Otherwise, they can go ahead & take the baby to Chandler & hand him off to my son & daughter (adult kids still living at home) and they can take care of him until I get back to AZ on Thursday. I have all the squirrel perks inside the house and an outdoor kennel for daytime play. I am in East Texas right now, I just released 2 orphans here and I am still watching them. They are 8 months old, and are big enough, doing well & have everything they need here. :Welcome Is there any other information on the baby, does it have injuries? Tree Squirrels (grays) are legal to have in AZ, but there is not that much of a demand for rehabbing them there since they are only found in the northern areas of the state. Because of this, I don't have a vet there that treats squirrels. You can PM me if interested & we can speak on the phone if you like. FYI- I live between Texas & Arizona currently. We have homes in both places since real estate in AZ is not selling. I have rehabbed orphans after Hurricane Rita & Hurricane Ike. When they are too small for release, they go with me where I go. I have all the accomodations to raise them until they are big enough for release. We can also make arrangements for this guy to go back to NV if necessary for release. Thanks!:)

Thank you pfukuda and Iheartskeeors for your offers, I haven't heard from her today. Will pass on your offers and let you know as soon as I hear. I believe the squirrel is a foxer, approx. 4-1/2 wks old, no injuries. She was going back yesterday to see if she could find any more babies or the mother. I have given her care info so hope all is well. I have also referred her to TSB for any further advice until a rehabber is found.

The person with the squirrel was going to contact the list provided to her today. I have also passed on your offers and information to her Iheartskeeors and pfukuda. Sounds like the squirrel is doing well. Will let you know.

That's good. I am still in TX today, so I won't be back in AZ until the weekend. The offer still stands though, I have helpers in AZ that will fill in until I get back. :jump

Thank you again pfukuda and Iheartskeeors for your offers. Information is extremely slow coming from her. :dono She has told me that she is feeding esbilac and rodent block at this point. I don't know if she has introduced veggies yet. She has told me she hasn't had any luck with any of the rehabbers. I have passed both of your e-mail addresses and offers on to her. What she has told me so far is that her sister is supposed to be going to San Diego to visit within the next week or so. Therefore she may get her to drop the squirrel off with Iheartskeeors. When she knows details she will get in touch. Her e-mail address is haloarrest@hotmail.com if you would like to contact her. Hope this can be worked out. :thankyou

I am hoping this little baby can be buddied up with another one for release with an experienced rehabber.

If a buddy can't be found for this little one anyone who has experience with release and is willing can e-mail caleb at the address given in the previous posting to discuss options. Hoping this precious little one can have a successful release and happy little wild life. Thanks all very much.
