Okay so I got this wonderful idea to make a manual for squirrel care :wahoo to help me help others as well as help teach my volunteers :) I was wondering what everyone thought should be in the manual little tricks and tid bits I might not even know about :) like I learned from another rehabber last year that Capstar can get rid of maggots :sanp3 I never knew that until she told me! So I thought I'd take a collection of ideas from everyone if they don't mind helping :D What works for you? what doesnt? what is crucial to know? :multi

Hi, I am not a rehabber, but have you checked in the "Baby Squirrel Questions" they have lots of nice threads, like "common mistakes and fixes" http://thesquirrelboard.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=87. and then there is the nutrition section, excellent.
Since I do not have information to share, if you want, I can help you to put together your little manual?? I would like to do it for you, if you want? You collect it, I will type it, organize it and maybe make it pretty??

Yes, group efforts are always best... I guess the first piece of information for your manual should be "Capstar can get rid of maggots", so how does that work exactly?:)

I have a little tip that I have never seen here. I use the new silicone nipples which I love. One problem with them and sometimes with other nipples. Babies can suck so hard the nipple comes off and gets stuck in their mouth. It is very scary to have that happen. It is good to have tweezers near at times like that. I also take a knife and make little slice marks all around the tip of the syringe which makes it rough instead of slick. This helps a lot in preventing the nipple from coming off.
Your manual sounds like a wonderful idea:thumbsup
