I know I have been asking many, many questions, but I need help again. My little fox is eating very little. I give him a syringe that is 3 ccs and he rarely actually swallows..it just dribble out onto the floor. We aren't sure yet how old he is...but I think about 6 or 7 weeks. He should be eating eagerly, at least about 9 ccs, but he doesn't even take in 3. I'm worried. any suggestions?

This is the first of your posts I have read so I am unfamiliar with your baby. How is his general health? Does he have anything wrong with him like injuries or dehydration that might make him unwell?
Have you posted any pictures of him yet?

no injuries, seems in good health. He was taken straight from the nest, so no dehydration. [long story, no not on purpose] I am going to try again to post pictures, although my avatar is one.
What are you feeding your baby? And is it warm like you would warm a babys milk?

reconstituted esbilac with whipping cream.
How long have you had your baby? And is the milk very warm? Not hot but very warm. They will reject cool or cold milk.

sort of warm...can it be microwaved? I don't have much time in the morning...since sunday.
Microwave a cup of water and put the syringes in that to keep them warm. The milk should not be micowaved but the water can be boiled. Just check temp of milk on your wrist before feeding them if it burns on your wrist it is too hot. How long have you had your baby and how old is it? Also how often are you feeding?

around 6 or 7 weeks, judging by the age chart. 4 times a day, before school, right after, at dinner, and bed.

Is your baby lethargic or energetic? Sounds like you may need to get the baby to a vet or a rehabber close to you.
You need to check this post out also. Not trying to scare you just trying to help your baby.

I wish I could be of more help to your baby. Is your baby bloated? Have you stimulated your baby to pee? Lots of questions.

I just fed him, he ate like a pig. I had to stop him because I didn't want to get him sick after 12 ccs. :) I heated it more, he took one look and started chomping on the syringe.
I am very glad to hear this. Hope he is doing better, sure sounds like it. Yes they won't take cool or cold milk it has to be their body temp which is around 100 102 degrees.

In our barn, there is a row of cupboards, which our dog randomly started attacking. When we opened the door to see what was bothering her, A baby squirrel came flying out, which I tried my hardest to catch and return to the nest. While I was chasing him, I heard squealing from our barn, and went rushing back to see what it was. She had a baby in her mouth. That is the baby I now have. I I had returned him to the nest Lulu would have continued to harass the babies and mother until they hurt themselves rushing around blindly, like they were. The one that was lost is most likely dead, but I am happy I could help the one.

Is your whipping cream heavy cream or heavy whipping cream? I had no idea there was a difference or that there were two types until I used it for the first time with my flyers when they were having issues and not gaining weight. If you have heavy whipping cream, it actually has skim milk in it and is not good for baby squirrels (that is the kind I got and fed my flyers for 2 days before realizing it :shakehead). You need heavy cream, which is all milk fat and does not contain skim milk. The heavy whipping cream says right on the side of the carton in the ingredients that it contains skim milk (I didn't even think to check what it had in it until I called another rehabber unsure of what to do because they were still sick and she asked me to check the carton). If you are using the wrong stuff, that could be upsetting her stomach and making her refuse the milk.
