They're 7 hours away from me. If I could get a train going I could take them but don't think there are any TSB members in the area, just the two in Toronto that I know of. Anyone else?

What about Trac and Tor. I think she was close to Toronto wasn't she? I wonder if she is close enough to these people to get them and take them to the North Bay rehabber - Mary - if she has room. Is she still a member - don't know?
hi or.
i live close to squirrelfriend, so she's my only contact person.
this squirrel is 1 hour east of me - closer to oshawa.
baby's mom, trac and tors mum, is no longer a member but she lives at least 2 hours north of me and i'd guess 5 hours from you.
Has anyone contacted the squirrel finder to see what she's like to do?
She may just need a rehabber for release.
I haven't contacted the humane society or more importantly the wildlife center .. they may be willing to take the squirrel. I know the wildlife center rehabs babies but would put to sleep any that is non-releasable.
emailed the squirrel finder with this link and my email address.

I sent the person that posted on Kijiji with a link to this site before I posted the issue here.
I don't know exactly where Durham county is. I looked at the map on Kijiji and it showed them to be above Thunder Bay. It apears to be about 500 miles from here. I hope they come onto the squirrel board and can find some help for the little fella. Fingers crossed.

I haven't heard from them.
hi:
she contacted me; i quote her below...
looks good!!:thumbsup
"Thanks very much for the link - there is a lot of good information! There are no wildlife centers close to my area, however Newmarket OSPCA offered to take him if necessary. He is an older baby so it has not been as difficult to care for as I originally thought. So far he is thriving and I am doing my best to ensure he can be released in the future! "

Hope this is good news. Maybe she could start a thread for the little one and we could let her know about release etc.
that would be nice!! but at least she's reading the threads! :D

I'm going to move this thread to Non Life-Threatening so it doesn't trigger emails to rehabbers.
