Hi :wave123
I'm no expert but my boy is 2 yrs old and he eats about 8 - 10 a day (freeze dried) if they were in the wild they would eat as many as they could wanted or could find in any given day......so I don't think there is a limit, but 4S should be in shortly and she is the nutrition expert.

Thank you for helping me with this question, because I was going to order some. Is it better to get live ones or freeze dried meal worms?

The live ones of course :D they are all wiggly and squirmy. Well thats how Ahrlan likes them. I guess it depends on whether or not you can handle feeding a squirming worm to an eager squirrel. They probaly aren't much different :rotfl

The general concensus is that they prefer the live ones. My Teddy gets 3 per night along with his veggie bowl & yogurt.
Here's a great thread about raising your own mealworms.
