He everyone
I am starting out with squirrel rehab. I haved a few questions. There are a few pro's in my area that say to use goats milk and most everything I read says to use Esbilac, which is better? I have contacted my vet's in my town what else should I do to get the word out? How often can I expect to get a call? (1 time a season or more/less) Thanks

ESBILAC!!! It's closest to a squirrels Nutritional (sp)needs. I have NEVER had a problem using it, Powder is best in my opinion. Mix as you need it and keeps better. I am in no means an expert, but I'm sure a resident expert in here will agree. It's definitely our(boards) choice. Best of luck to you and:Welcome :Welcome :Welcome You will love it here, losts of very friendly helpful, loving ,caring squirrley people here.:grouphug

Many people have used the Esbilac goats milk if their babies have had problems with the regular Esbilac. The problem w/ just plain goats milk (not the esbilac goats milk) is that it isn't as nutritious and it does lack certain B vitamins. Most people just use the esbilac formulas because it is safer and everything is already added for you. It is very hard to try to add just the right amount of everything when trying to make up a homemade formula. It is almost always lacking in something.

Thanks everyone!!!! I am excited about this journey. I don't want some poor babie squirrel to loose his/her mommy but I am ready to step up and help them. Bring on the babies!!! There is nothing more fun for me then to watch squirrels running around outside. Thanks for the advise and I will be checking back often.
