Just got a call from a lady in Bristol, TN, I am in Fl. She found my info on the web and found a baby about 6:30pm. Its about 4-5 weeks and has fleas, was found in the street. I have coached her on how to remov the fleas by warm bath and baby shampoo, or else she will not bring it inside because of the fleas. Need some help for her ASAP.

Hi, you have to really becareful in Tennessee.
This vet will see squirrels if you tell him you found him and he will be released
back. You might try him if you don't want to make the drive to Memphis, he is
much closer to you.

Did you tell her to put it on heat (low) half of the container that she has him in with t shirts, blankets, no towels. Does she have anything to feed him, please tell her no cows milk. Let me know what information you have given her so far...thanks.
If she hasn't bathed him yet, she could just put a small amount of flea powder in her hand and rub it on his body...

Suppose Sissy could help?? Not trying to put her up to it w/o consultation, but she's probably an estimated 2 hours away from the Tenn. line....?
I don't know if she'd be able to do it, but I was throwing that out there....

The lady found my ad on finding baby squirrels. It tells everyone to make a sock buddy and explains how to do it. Then it tells them not to feed. But I went all over that and actually walked her through a bath because of the copious amounts of fleas. The rehabber later called me and let me know the baby was doing okay except for some dehydration.
It's amazing what God can do! I am down here in fl and she found me, than was directed to you guys. I just needed numbers and thats what I got. WOW!:jump
