Henry has a 32-ounce water bottle. It takes him a long time to empty it...at least a month. Then I sterilize and refill. I've read that sqs don't need much water and can get all they need from licking the dew off leaves. I swear Henry pees more than he drinks....:dono

When I am raising squirrels for release, I always use both, the water bottle and a bowl (rocks/pebbles inside). I am with 4S, it is hard to tell how much they drink but they always seem to get enough! I always worry after they are weaned because I couldn't tell if they were drinking but so far so good:tilt

Amelia drinks 2-3 tablespoons daily depending on her days. I measured this 5 consecutive days taking into account evaporation. I checked for evaporation by adding 60cc (4tbs) water in 2 bowls, one inside the cage and one just outside the cage so I was able to calculate how much evaporated with the bowl that was on the outside. So not counting evaporated water she drinks anywhere between 30 and 45cc a day...:thumbsup
I don't check this anymore because I know she's getting plenty of water :D
