I give my girls the kaytee forti-diet everyday along with veggies and fruits. Do I need to give them any vitamins or supplements? Two of them like hard boiled eggs is that okay for them? If so, how often should they get them. Should I still give them esibilac from time to time they are now 4 months old.

This maybe a stupid question but is the Kaytee forti-diet considered rodent block? How many should they get a day. I ususally put some in their cage in the morning and at night.

Totally agree w/ GB..
At the beginning they may look at them from the shoulders.. :D ... But because of they're good for them and we want them to eat, you can try giving them only blocks till they try to have a bit, then they will continue eating for sure :)
Enjoy your babies.. xx
No question is a stupid question. :nono :D
Yes, that is what we call Rodent Block. :thumbsup I'm not too sure how many of those they should eat each day, as they have different ingredients in them than the Squirrel Blocks do. :thinking I do know that they should eat 2-3 of the Squirrel Blocks every day. I would keep the Rodent Block in their cage 24/7, along with giving them a couple in the morning, with nothing else, so that they're hungry and will eat all of them, before they are given anything else to fill up on. Then just keep them in their cage to nibble on when they're hungry. :D

They actually love the rodent blocks. I didn't have to push it on them they automatically loved them. I'm going to make some squirrel blocks using the recipe on this site. I LOVE my girls they are so much fun to watch and play with. They always make me smile. I am going to put some pictures up soon so everyone can see how cute they are.

So you are very lucky then! :)
My girl Mia needs a 'push' to start eating new/different stuff..
All she want to eat is 'sunflower seeds' that she is used to eat while she was at the pet shop and they are NOT good for her.
God Bless them and we are looking 4ward to see some pics soon ;)

All the right info is here already (thanks to GB & merman!) so I just want to agree that DIET is the most important thing by far to keeping squirrels healthy -- especially 'pet' squirrels. The difference in a squirrel's eyes, fur, strength and personality is remarkable as his diet improves....time after time we have members telling us about this here on TSB. :thumbsup

About how much should they weigh at 4 months? They are grey squirrels. One of them is kinda of chubby.
