Has anyone ever used this product? It says its for birds, but I'm wondering if we could use it for our little ones? It mixes into their water or food and looks like it could be a great source of calcium. I don't want to buy it though until I check with everyone here first.
Ingredients are: Water, Calcium Chloride, and Calcium Lactate. Calcium 6.1%, Moisture 83.5%.
Suggested usage: In water: 1/2 tsp per 8 oz drinking water. In food: 1/4 tsp per 8 oz food.

As you can see, it is mostly water (over 80%).

How many mgs of calcium per dosage/serving?
That's a good question, I just checked the product page again and it says 1 tsp = 5 ml. But that's probably 5 mls of the entire thing and not the mgs of calcium.
I should probably just stick with the tablets and squirrel blocks. Which leads me to another question for you. I think I have the only squirrels on the planet that do not like peanuts or the flavor and they turn their noses up at the blocks when I make them. Do you have experience with any other kinds of nut butters? I'm wondering if I substituted pecan butter or walnut butter they would be interested. The other kinds of butters are a bit pricey, but what else can I do? http://www.superorganicfoods.com/index.php?cPath=22&gclid=CI-6i-WwhJgCFQw9GgodzR0iDA

You can eliminate the peanut butter altogether. Rather than buying the expensive nut butters, you can make your own. Grind up walnuts, pecans, hazelnuts, or whatever, until it becomes nut butter. And use that instead of the peanut butter.

I've been using Nekton mineral supplement:

I take just a pinch, and sprinkle it over my little guy's veggie plate every day. I've used Nekton products for 25 years, and have always done well with them. Intended for birds and maybe reptiles, but my little Gulliver (red squirrel) has done well with it.
I do mean just a tiny pinch, then I rub my fingers together over veggies.
