I took a hawk once to Maitland, it was for wild birds of prey, I can not think of the name. It rehabs birds and then will release them, and ones that can't be released they keep. People go there to see the birds and that is one way they make $. It is on a lake in Maitland. You can check the chamber of commerce of Maitland. I will keep looking for the number and the name and let you know if I find it.:thumbsup

Have you tried floridawildlifecare.org (Gainesville -- all species of wildlife)?
Also there was this on the East coast newspaper today (Palm Beach County) --- too far but maybe he has the number of someone who can help? The "Bird Man" - Kenny Brown of Lantana. No phone number listed but he works with the police departments near here, and takes birds to Folke Peterson Wildlife Center in Wellington, which might also be worth a call. (I will try to get phone numbers and post if I find any)

Florida Wildlife Care: 352-371-4443 (has a 24 hour help line)
Folke Peterson: (561) 793-BIRD (2473) (I think it's 9-5 only) www.fpwildlife.org
In the background of a photo with the Bird Man article was this: Pelican & Wildlife Rescue & Release 561-628-5363 --- Not sure where this is, perhaps Folke Peterson? But they might have a contact near where your seagull is.

Here is the name and address I was looking for....Audubon center for birds of prey
1101 Audubon Way
Maitland Fl. 32751
407) 644-0190
I don't know if they could take in the bird or not, however they may be able to give you some help if you haven't already found some. Good luck.
We tried all the regulars that you mentioned but no body could pick up the bird and we were slammed at work due to the holidays. We gave it something for shock and placed him in the incubator but he didn't make it...thanks however
