I am trying to figure out what I would feed the squirrel while he is outdoors in his cage getting "wild". Do I continue to feed him the monkey chow,or do I give him other stuff? Can I give him corn and other veggies still, or do I have to give him certain foods and not others...

Provide fresh cut branches with leaves attached. Oak, Maple, Cherry, whatever grows in your neck of the woods. He will chew on them and strip off the leaves and put them in his nest box. I put a log (firewood) in the cage too. They chew on the bark and it gives them some hands on stuff to feel!!!:thumbsup
Also feed him the rodent block with all the fresh veggies he will eat. Kale, squash, avocado, carrots, broccolli stalks, caulifour. Grapes, a few nuts with hard shells, Brazil, walnut, filberts. Aslo a water bottle is good or a very shallow dish with H2O for him to drink.
Hope this helps,
Becca
