Got a question for those of you who have had pinkies. Alfred is always eager to eat. But, we always stimulate them before and after they eat. So, Alfred will make sucking sounds/motions with his mouth until he has the nipple. Well, during the last two feedings today, before he ate & while he was being stimulated, he foamed at the mouth. (He does not have esbilac in his mouth in the picture.) Now, I'm pretty sure he's just working up a good spit, but, what do you think? :thinking

I've had a couple like that, and usually they are the ones that love to eat! The foaming is all directly related to their response to food.

I had some babies recently that did the same thing everyone reassured me it was normal. So no need to worry. Adorable baby by the way.

Yep, he sounds like a healthy happy little pinkie that is just getting excited about feeding time :thumbsup .

Thank you both so much! That's what I figured, but the reassurance means a lot to this first time pinkie mom.

Pamela - thanks! He is a cutie. You can see more of him & his sibs in my other thread, Our Newest Arrivals. (There's a video, too.)

:thankyou

Almost all of mine did that. I just assumed it was normal. It must have been because most of them did well.
