I just saw this squirrel outside and took a picture. Is it a specific kind of squirrel or did something happen to it?

Someone might have tried to tag it to keep observations as well (kool -aid will not hurt them). Does he let you get close to him or seem interested in your attention? He looks very well taken care of and I think even if someone spray painted the tail the squirrel would have had to have let them get close enough to do so...

it WAS also just halloween and someone could have thought it was funny. one of the ranch hands at work let the kids use hair paint on the horses at work. didn't hurt them...hopefully this is something simple as well.

That is one fat squirrel! Between that and the red I wonder if you have a neighbor who raised it and has tagged it to keep track after releasing? What are the odds of having two squirrel people in one neighborhood?
