DOES ANYONE HAPPEN TO KNOW WHAT THOSE HUGE GREEN FUNNY LOOKIN THINGS ARE THAT ARE FALLEN OFF TREES NOW IM IN PENNSYLVANIA AND DONT KNOW WHAT THESE TREES ARE AT FIRST I THOUGHT THEY WERE GONNA BE SOME SORT OF NUTS THEY ARE FROM TENNIS BALL SIZE TO CAULIFLOWER SIZE AND THE SKINS LOOK LIKE CAULIFLOWER THERE IS TUNS OF WHAT LOOKS LIKE SEEDS INSIDE AND THE MIDDLE IS JUST LIKE SOFT SKIN NOT HARD LIKE NUT OR SEED IM DIEIN TO FIND OUT WHAT THEY ARE THE SQUIRRELS AT MY HOUSE HAVENT TOUCHED THE ONES I BROUGHT HOME IM GUESSEN THERE NOT GOOD EATIN

Maybe you could post a picture of one and the tree? Then maybe we can help you identify it. Just a thought. :crazy

This might be useful. If you can identify the leaf, then you can figure out what the tree is.

yes thats what it is a horse apple thank you so much as soon as i opened and saw the picture you sent i knew that was it i have a box of them to get rid of gosh if they scare mice off i guess they scare the squirrels off funny know that im thinkin about it i told my husband it was strange today that i didnt see the squirrels or many birds i had two of the horseapples sittin near wear they feed im guessin it was just cause it was gettin colder im gonna go read more on the site you gave me thanks again just wanted to get back to you :thankyou

If they keep mice away I could use a dozen or so. Never seen one in Florida. Where do they grow?
