Not sure where else this should go, so if it needs to be elsewhere, mods, please feel free to move it!

I recently purchased Bach's Rescue Remedy after seeing such good reviews from everyone here. Sadie is generally a ball of fire. She has more energy than most two year olds. Her hyperness is just part of her personality, definitely not something I want to change. She's constantly doing stuff to make us laugh!

The problem starts when it's time to trim her nails. She's not a biter in general, but she will scream and bite when she knows it's trim time. She hates it!

My question is about how to use the Rescue Remedy. I've seen some people talk about spraying it (I think this would just excite her more), adding it to water, and rubbing some on the inside of the ear. For the purpose I intend to use it for, what would be the best way to go about administering it? And how much?

rubbing some inside her ear is probably the best way to administer it to her...about 15 mins before you plan to clip her nails. You might want to put a few drops in your own cup of tea, too, to stay calm during the process. :D

Rescue Remedy for her and Brandy for you?!! Do you think it hurts when you clip her nails or is it just the sensation of it happening? Good Luck!:thumbsup

I think I'll skip on the brandy. I figure being named "Brandi" is as close as I need to get to alcohol! Haha.

I think she's just scared of the sensation. I've never hurt her or clipped too close (*knock on wood*). Honestly, it's kind of funny... I'll get the clippers close to a toe and she'll scream like I've cut it off before I've even touched her! Once everything is done and over with, and she realizes she's still alive, she usually tries to teach those clippers a lesson!

:jumpI know we had someone here on TSB whose squirrel would actually hide the clippers :D.
