Well, when it rains, it pours.....squirrels that is! :crazy Within the last 3 weeks, we've gotten Teddy (6 week old sfs), Sophie & Spyro (10-12 wk old greys), Punkin (3 wk old sfs) and today we received a set of triplet pinkies! The lady who brought them to us was very nice. Apparently a kind of 'gruff' neighbor brought them to her because she likes animals. She had no clue what to do but did manage to keep them warm & start them on pre-made esbilac. This was on Saturday. She works & her daughter has school, so she called a local vet & they gave her my mother's number....and, ta da! We have pinkies!

They are doing well. We just finished feeding them & everybody ate and relieved themselves. They seem to be in the 1-2 week old timeframe. Here are some pics:

They still have the umbilical scab but the ears seem to be coming away from the head. They are all boys, we think. :)

I've looked at the 'stickies' about babies, anything I'm missing? I got a gram scale but they don't register yet!! Too tiny, I guess. Approx. how much should they be eating & how often?

Any thoughts about putting Sophie (10-12 week old female grey) in with them? She's the more friendly of the two kids. She'll let me pet her & she'll climb into my hand. Just curious.

This is our first time with pinkies, so any & all help is appreciated! Thanks, gang! Guess I'll have to start a nursery thread soon. :wott

:thankyou

Haven't got a clue about what happened to momma. :dono Pam, the lady who brought them to us, said that her neighbor is a man of few words. Kind of a grump is my impression. (Not a friendly guy, but nice enough to bring her the squirrels. Thankfully!) Apparently, she feeds the local wildlife & has several animals as well. He came to her house, handed her the babies in a blanket & said "Since you like animals so much, here!". :sanp3
