Okay, I downloaded the free windows picture resizer and it seems to work great.
I can post my pics when I choose the size "handheld PC". BUT, when I try to make them a little bigger (because Digi and Chipper are just cuter the bigger the picture:D :D ) by selecting the "small" size, I get an error message while uploading that the file is too big. It is just a regular digital camera pic:thinking Any suggestions?

I did download the PowerToys; that is what I've been using so far (otherwise my pics are GIGANTIC! But unless I use the smallest selection, it won't upload. Maybe I'm using a funky setting on my camera and don't know?? Think I'll try Rhapsody's image resizer site next and see what they look like............thanks, guys!:thankyou

What software do use use to load them onto your PC? I resize all my pics first in my photo editing software. I use (corel) photo album the most, it's very user friendly.

Oooh, sorry, not familiar with that. I don't use the Canon software that came with my camera, I find photo album/paint shop pro much easier. Have you tried online sites? Never tried this one, but my PC world magazine rated it very good...

I know this thread is old, but I thought I put this in here as another option for those looking for help.

I use Irfanview to resize all of my pictures. It's really easy & it's free.

http://www.irfanview.com/

Once you've downloaded it:
1) Click the icon to open the program.
2) Click the file folder to open your computer files & find the picture that you want to adjust.
3) Double-click your picture & it will appear on the Irfanview screen.
4) Click 'Image' on the toolbar. A drop-down menu will appear.
5) Select 'Resize/Resample Image'. A box will appear in the middle of your screen.
6) At this point, you can define the image size yourself, or like me, choose from the standard dimensions. I resize most of mine to 600 x 480.
7) The picture will appear on your screen in the new size.
8) On the toolbar, click the little disk ('Save As'), give your file a new name (or just replace the old one) & you're ready to post your picture!!

I've been using the program for over a year. It got some really good reviews & it's easy. You can also do other things: Adjust color, crop, etc. I like it a lot!! Hope this will help you!!!

I upload ALL of my pictures to Photobucket.. that way if my computer ever crashes (again) then all of my pictures are tucked safely away in my photobucket album... usually when I upload them there, they are already resized and I just copy & paste the [IMG] file into the post. =)
