My squirrels are still on formula and are eating rodent block, lots of veggies, and some fruits. I am using yogurt as a protein source for now, and they do have deer antlers to chew, but am wondering about supplementing with puppy or dog food also. I know when I was first doing my research I ran across a site that recommended using puppy food initially, but after hours of searching I have been able to find anything for or against.
The dog food I have is blue buffalo, a very high quality brand with no by-products or preservatives but am still hesitant about giving it to the squirrels until I know more
