I got a new baby yesterday. Only one eye was opened. Today I noticed the unopen eye looked swollen. I used a warm wet washcloth and wiped the eye. It opened and had a yellow discharge. The eye itself looks cloudy.
I have Terramycin eye ointment on hand. Does anybody know if this is okay to use in a squirrels eye?

I would flush the eye with sterile saline solution. I would use Terramycin. Just make sure it has no steroids in it before using it.

Thanks! I went and bought sterile eye wash and was able to use that and flush her little eye. I applied the Terramycin ointment. She wasn't too happy when I flusher her little eye, :nono
I work at a vet's office but am off today. I will be bringing her to work with me and will let them check her out.
I still have James, he is probably a few weeks older than this little girl. Hopefully we can get her eye cleared up and I can introduce them soon.

Wednesday Update
I have decided to name her Jayden. Her eyed hasn't had any more discharge since I started treating it. It's still cloudy and she still keeps it closed most of the time.
She ate really great this morning. She seems more active too.
