I got a full grown female in tonight, My Mother-in-laws friend seen her laying in the road, ran home for a box and returned to pick her up. They dropped her off a short time ago.
Some head trauma, possible broken leg/hip. I have given metacam.
Heat, quiet, dark, gave lactated ringers...am I forgeting anything?
When these things happen to me I tend to forget standard protocol.:thinking
(She moves very little being treated for shock)

I am so happy to report good news today :wahoo we are on the upswing, attempting to clean our tail.:D She has more head trauma than anything, I cant find anything broken right now. The way she was holding her leg yesterday made me question it..but I think now she may be ok?
She must have heard me trying to peek at her and her head was up in a flash.
I am very happy with the improvement she's made overnight.:multi

She keeps spinning around trying to bite at her backend left side? (and falls over when she does)
My father-in-law said she had a spot on her that flys were on, but I can't find it?
I put a dot of advantage on the back of her neck to take care of any flea issues.
I'm giving dex later, to help with the head injury.
Shes eaten wallnuts, pecans some Esbilac & some Fox Valley. Won't touch fruit! Any other ideas? By tomorrow giving her formula will be out she was growling at me earlier.:tilt

So glad she is doing much better! My boys love yellow squash, cherry tomato's and sugar snap beans. Did I tell you they are very picky? Good luck with her!:thumbsup
with my poxed squirrel that I treated with solid gold sea meal, I was able to get that into him by using almond butter on a spoon. Worked really great.
good luck with your squirrel. It's a very hard time of year. IT's the harvest for the squirrels, but I've noticed so very many dead in the road in the past 2 weeks . I wish drivers would pay more attention. Perhaps some can't be avoided, but, everyone drives way too fast.

I tried the squash, sweet potato, grapes...:nono :rotfl forget it.
I even broke down and tried pumkin seeds and then sunflower seeds.:shakehead I wonder if she would eat pumpkin?:thinking
Anyhow she is diving into the nuts...:tilt I guess that will have to do for now as long as I am getting formula and LR in her?:dono
I am gonna upload a small video in a minute it shows the bad side of her face.
She is calm now not as scared, obviously knows I am not going to hurt her.:Love_Icon She is putting up with a lot for a wild squirrel, I have very high hopes for a full recovery.:thumbsup:wahoo

This is a little dark and very short thanks to my cell phone, I dont want to stick a camera in with her. She's not spinning around like she was yesterday...I would say shes 50% better since she came here.
She's curled back up sleeping.:Love_Icon

Update The kind I love to post my wild girl is free and happy running in the trees. Her eye will never be perfect again but she can see out of it, and she was thrilled to go. :wahoo She knows where the nest box is should she need it tonight, but I very much doubt she will take advantage of it.
:D Great news:alright.gif Glad little one did well and happy running in the trees. :thumbsup Bless you your a good mommy and they won't forget you:)

Yes, and most of the thanks goes to the lady who carred enough to get her off the street and get her help.
As in all cases this would not be possible without the finder's help.:bowdown
I will be calling her tonight to fill her in.
