Rehabber needed in Houston

A lady from near here called and said she had family in NW Houston, who found a baby squirrel. There is nothing open to purchase formula over there. I gave her the recipe for homemade pedialyte which she said she was going to try to get a call through again. I didn't know if there is someone in the Houston area available. I know the devastation has touched all there, in some kind of way. :(

In case you haven't seen this thread http://thesquirrelboard.com/forums/showthread.php?p=268093#post268093 there is some info there to give to people without electricity, including a "reduced" recipe to make a smaller amount of hydrating fluid (since they won't be able to refrigerate a quart-sized recipe). (Feel free to add any info there that you think would be helpful.)

You may want to consider going ahead and placing an order for Esbilac with Chris' Squirrel Store, or Jeffers Pet Supply to get it in route to you when you are ready for nutrients.

I have formula it is the girl in Texas that needs! I did speak to her this morning, thank God she got through! She was feeding straight Ev. Milk. she was going to try to see if she can find a Walmart open, vet or something. I also gave her plenty rehabber names in the Houston area. she said there are many people out there rescuing babies and didn't know what to do. I wish her and the others well!!!

We gave ours the the "Squirrel Lady" at TWRC (Texas Wildlife Rehabliitation Co.?), they are located near Spring Branch, and only open from 10 to 2, I do not have the number handy..
