Hi earlier tonight I was in the shower and as soon as i got out i heard this squeaking noise, like a dog chew toy(which i tought it was) and I walk across kitchen and see the dining room door open and there is scraps screaming her head off with my dog sitting there watching her every move!!! I am guessing that one of my girls went in there to say good bye to scraps before they left for their sleepover and didnt pull the door shut tightly. and while i was in the shower the dog nosed the door open and went to investigate.( up till this time the dog had only gotten glimpses of her and i know she is curious) well i took scraps out of her cage and she curled up in my shirt andcalmed down and went to sleep. She ate perfectly and i put her in her cage. Well i got up almost an hour ago to feed her and she didnt really want to eat. she normally eats 9cc+ she weighs about 7 oz. She did eat almost 5cc before she just kept trying to run away. She seems okay other than that, she was running on top of my desk and nibbling on my fingers and i dont know if it is because she is still spooked or the fact that she has been on the liquid esbilac and i switched to the powder for the first time.... Can anyone help me out with this. I am just scared that something could be really wrong now. I have been reading the boards and i have heard how fast things can change. Please let me know what you think and i am definitly going to put an eye hook lock on the outside of the door just to make sure this cannot happen agian!! (still not sure how the dog was able to do it, she is a pomeranian. not a big dog at all!):shakehead :hurt :Cry

How old is Scraps? How often are you feeding her? Is she getting any solids?

When was the last time you gave her esbilac before she took the 5cc's and did she have
any solids before that.

If she is around 10 weeks old she may be starting to wean herself.

Stay calm! I know its rough on your heart when they are hurt. Similar thing happened to my little boy a few weeks ago, he got hurt by the cage when the dog pushed it over. He was totally traumatised and burrowed into my clothes. I put him in his cage and kept him covered and warm-which is all he wanted. He is off of formula now so just made sure there was fresh veg and water close to his nest. He spent two days just sleeping and moving around quietly. I also gave him a small dose of Rescue Remedy after it happened but I cant recommend it as I am not trained in anyway. But I can recommend 10 drops of Rescue for you, a cup of tea and a chocolate biscuit!:thumbsup
Just keep your baby quiet and warm until you get help here.
Thinking of you!

I think baby is just scared, see how the next couple feedings go, Keep things calm and quiet. I have had new releases get scared outside and go into frozen mode for hours.
Good idea on the extra reinforcement.:thumbsup

I am happy to announce my little girl is doing fine now!! She is still a bit skittish but she ate her breakfast like a champ!!! Guzzled down 8.5 cc and decided she wanted to climb all over me and my desk grunting her little noises and then she gave me lovin!!! It just makes you so nervous when they do not want to eat, especially when they have always been such hoovers with the syringe. Thanks all for the concern.
