Ok folks...I know this sounds stupid, but what exactly does overwintering consist of and how do I know if I need to do that with Frick? Just curious and knew that some...actually most of you on here can probably explain! :) THANKS!!
Overwintering is simply waiting until spring to release. :) It includes providing protection from the elements if outside. Water that isn't frozen and food. And enrichments ( entertainments ) to keep active and out of trouble. I often winter inside. It can be a very long winter. Last release of greys must be before the leaves fall from the trees. And they must have been outside for a while to aclimated to the weather. Either way - release or overwinter - I always support feed my releases for as long as they stick around.
