I need some help please...

my babie squirrel's are I am estimating between 3-5 weeks old ( their eye's have not yet opened ) and I am feeding them every 3-4 hours. How long do these around the clock feedings need to continue and when can I begin to introduce solid foods?

HI and :Welcome, Have your babies ears opened yet? If so then I'd guess their probably 4 weeks old their eyes will open around 5 weeks old. You can stop the night time feedings but keep feeding them 5% to 7% of their body weight 5 to 6 times a day. I usually start putting Rodent Block in with them right before their eyes open. That way they will be able to teeth on it and hopefully learn to love it. All mine have LOVED the stuff because it's the first thing they know other then the formula. Good Luck and keep us posted.

here is a response to some of the questions you guys asked... yes, I do feel and see lower teeth emerging. Also, their ears are starting to stand up. One of the guys eye's are starting to barely open...should I wash them with a warm wash cloth to help the process or let it happen on it's own??? thanks again to all of your guy's help, oh and by the way, hi to the washingtonian squirrel lover/rehabber!!!
