Boy, this has been an eventful year for us so far, unfortunatley for the babies........
I have some pics of a baby with what we think is pox, can you all confirm this? And what is your experience with pox in a baby?
*a little background*...this rehabber released 3 babies this summer, one she recaptured with severe pox, which she successfully treated with immune builders, antibiotics and cage rest for almost 2 months. He was re-released and still comes around and his healthy. This baby was in the neighborhood, a family a few houses away cut down a tree and orphaned he and his sibs. He suddenly came down with these lesions on his ear and foot as of last night, th ear just blew up this morning:

:( Looks like pox to me. The ear also appears to be infected but it's hard to tell from the posted pics. Can you get a clearer picture? I know...they don't hold still very well.

It was really hard to get a pic............the ear happend just since a few hours ago, very rapid!! the foot started yesterday, nasty isn't it? she put some silver sulfadine on it.
Yep, I think its pox, and since she has seen it before in her neighborhood, its a yes.......this is new to me too (thank GOD) is this an airborn virus????

Thanks so much for the threads, she is giving all the recommended supplements, and he is coming along as well as can be expected.
she did ask me, what holistic/herbal remedy would you all recommend for swelling and inflammation? She is concerned about the blisterey red bumps, and thought some kind of anti iflammitory would help.
Thanks so much, and if I missed it in the threads you provided, sorry!
