Is it normal for the Vet

Is it normal for the vet to just look at a baby and say you need to put her down?I have taken heaven to 2 vets and both said immediatly because i have her i just need to go ahead and put her down.Is it normal for them to give up on a squirrel so easily with out wanting to treat?

With the first vet she had hurt her back legs to where she couldn't use them.When We walked out of the vets office i immediatly started her on physical therapy i would put her in the tub with a little bit of warm water and let her move around .after about 1 month she was useing her legs 90% better.With the second vet she was actually on her last leg of life (she had 2 seizures in the truck 1 on the way there and 1 on the way home)The nurse who said she was a squirrel rehaber for 11 years told me she would not even make it through the night.(she is actually laying in her warm sunny spot in her cage at this very moment.She has also eaten today.)I brought her back home put her safely on a heating pad gave her some natural babyfood and she started to get better.I watched her all night and she started to act like her normal self again.
