So I am here again obtaining info for Frick. She has been spending most of the day outside in her pen lately. She still comes in at night for now. However, she doesn't eat much. What she will eat is mostly what she finds on the ground - the natural things from outside. We offer her the fruits and veggies, but she prefers these other things. Any suggestions? She IS drinking water from a bowl though - wasn't sure she ever would!!! She runs and hops and jumps all over the place and is in a great mood! I don't feel worried at this point, but should I? She also weaned herself off the formula. I'm going to try to make some of the snacks on here and see if those go over well. If not though, I can't FORCE her to eat...any suggestions? Again, thank you all for your help over the last few months. She has come a long way!

it's her pen...her cage comes in and out with her. i need to get pics of it up. there are rocks and stuff leveling it out so that nothing can get her and so she can't get out. i'm glad it's ok she's eating the other stuff instead. she is still getting fresh bowls of fruit and veggies...she just doesn't seem very interested. she really likes the green acorns and hickory nuts. will she automatically know what berries are ok for her to eat...what about mushrooms? these are things we have growing around here but i panic if she eats them.....and bugs...she keeps trying to eat bugs. there was a caterpillar in her cage today that she didn't seem interested in, but i took it out just in case she GOT interested.

Mushrooms are good for them to eat and so are bugs. My Miss Angelica ate a Cicada the other day that had the misfortune of coming out of the ground in her release cage, she loved it. I still put food out for Miss Angelica put she just mainly makes a mess with it and eats the stuff she finds growing out in the wild. Sounds like Frick is learning to be a wild squirrel, GOOD JOB.

You don't really have to know, she'll know.
