I was browsing around flickr.com this morning (need a fix in the mornings :D) and I came across a truly heartbreaking pic for which I supplied a comment that we needed a story... well, I got one......
As taken from the post I recieved:
Sunday afternoon I was outside getting ready to head to work when I hear a big crack and see a limb fall from my tree in the front yard and hit the driveway and split into pieces. I have to go pick up pieces before I back out and find a dead squirrel amongst the wreakage.
Soon after my girlfriend Lea hears a noise and finds one of these little guys in the grass. A few feet from him is his brother and on the other side of the driveway is his other brother. We collect them all and try to figure out what to do with them.
I head to work and Lea hits the internet and pet shops to get some pet milk and droppers. I come home and we try to feed them and "stimulate" their bowels. Most of them are doing well, but this lil guy I think must have had some internal injuries. He kept curled up while the rest spralled out. He didnt make it but a few hours and i ended up burrying him with his mom.
We have to feed them every three hours or so. I was up at 5am trying to feed and poop them. There are two left and they are doing well. The dropper we are using is too big and they dont really like it so im working on finding something else to use.
If anyone knows of anything i can do better, please let me know.
