help, someone to take baby please

I found a baby squirrel and I have 2 dogs , a cat and I just got out of the hospital the other day. I cannot take care of this squirrel, but I can't let it die. Please can some one from my area take this squirrel? I am in AL. He is so adorable. I heard screaming in my back yard and at first thought it a bird, but the screaming was so loud and constant that I went out to investigate and found him lying on the ground covered in ants. The ants were eating him. I got the ants off him and wrapped him in a flannel pillow case. He is in good shape considering what he went through. He has fur all over his body, but his eyes are not open yet. I have him in his pillow case with a heating pad underneath on low. I gave him a couple of drops of pedialyte which he had no trouble taking. He also had one feeding of kitten formula that the vet told me to get. I am suppose to feed him every two hrs. I am sick and need lots of rest. This is not going to work, but I can't find anyone around here that can take him. Can anyone help me????

First DON'T PANIC. you've done everything right so far. Good news is if he is fully furred he is at least 3 weeks old and needs to be fed only 4 or 5 times a day. We use the 5% rule - 5% of the body weight in grams = cc per feeding. Or if you don't have a scale feed until his belly feels like a soft water balloon never tight. Remeber to pee and poop him as he won't be going on his own yet. :)

Thanks, it is nice to know I am not alone :) I have been calling vets and wildlife all day and nobody could help. Most told me he would not live and to just put him back outside :( I just couldn't do that.

Just got off the phone with baby squirrels mommy. She has him on a heating pad and able to keep him hydrated and doing a wonderful job. I'll be heading down first thing in the morning to pick him up. Will let ya'll know how it goes as soon as I get back tomorrow. I'm a couple of hours away otherwise I'd be gone all ready, I can't stand to drive in the dark. Good luck tonight little guy, I'll see you in the morning. I'm sooo excited.

Gamma, You know me entirely to well. You know there'll be pics, just not right now, my DD has my camera, SORRY.
I've been home a couple of hours. I had to get the little BOY settled in, fed and piddled. All went well. He looks great jvan took wonderful care of him and has been calling him Peanut:Love_Icon. Jvan is one of the warmest, kindest most loving people, mostly when it comes to animals of any kind. I really enjoyed meeting and visiting with her. She's a true ANGEL with an amazing soul. THANKS everyone that helped her out when she needed it.
