My little guy isn't doing so well. Over the past couple of days he has lost weight. I'm not sure how much but I know he is too skinny. Today he is acting like he can barely move. I'm worried he might be dying. Please help ASAP

Is he clicking when breathing? Possible pneumonia....you need to find a rehabber and quick....they can treat babies not doing well but they need to get into a rehabber's hands quickly...ASAP! They can go down hill so fast at this age!

How old is he? If he is old enough to eat on his own, is he drinking a large amount water?

Clover 87,
If you need a rehabber there is a list of them on this site. Go down to the bottom of your page and click on Forum Jump go to Rehab Info & Location. It's listed under Sticky/complete List of Wildlife Rehabbers. There are several in Ohio. Hope this helps.

Clover 87 - rehabber is a good idea - you need to tell us way more info for us to help if you can't find a rehabber:

how old
what and how much are you feeding him
any injuries
etc

PLEASE give me a call! I would be MORE than happy to take the baby. If you are nearby I can meet you somewhere if you like. This baby needs help ASAP! I am going to be releasing my bunnies tonight too and it is the weekend so I will have plenty of time to give your squirrel all the emergency care he needs. I hope you are nearby and I can help. If I am not nearby I can give you the name of a rehabber that is (provided there are rehabbers in your area). Please, this baby needs help. Please call me as soon as you get this, no matter what time.

Just to catch others up on the squirrel: Clover found him about a week and a half ago and he was a 2 week old squirrel, not sure what type (she didn't know how to tell and hasn't been on since I posted how to and now that is the least of our worries) but probably a fox squirrel. She thought he was doing good at first and I offered to take him because I have 3 his age and she said she would let me know (she was already attached to the little guy of course but wanted to do the right thing for him). That was the last I heard before this.

I fear it is aspiration pneumonia and this baby needs help FAST! Luckilly, I have had a LOT of experience treating pneumonia because of the idiots at the wildlife center so hopefully she is nearby (I asked her what county she was in, but didn't hear back). I am so worried about this little guy. It is like he is one of my own little tykes. I sure hope he makes it.
