Hello, Lady Squirrelly here,
Witt and I met at the gas station again and I am now the new mommie of Eva and Ava.
They are darling.
Will post pictures under their thread soon (tomorrow).
They have been fed goat milk.
I have always used Esbilac.
Is there a process to switch the over???
What would be best for the girls???

I am in no way an expert, but usually when you are switching from one food to another you put small amount of the food you want to use in with the current food and feed that way. Start by using 1/4 new to 3/4 current. Build up the percentage over time ( about 3 - 4 feedings with each new strength )until you have switched completely. This way the system can adapt to the change more slowly.
Definitely check with a rehabber before doing this as they have way more knowledge about squirrels than I do. I know this works for puppies and kittens, but not sure how it would effect you babies.
Can't wait to see pics of them. Good luck!
I have used goat milk for years, it's cheaper too. My babies all seem to thrive on it. I buy the canned milk, as the babies grow I add oatmeal and strained veggies.
1 1/2 cup boiling water
1/3 cup canned goat's milk
1 teaspoon light Karo syrup
Stir together and store. Store leftover canned milk in a plastic or glass jar.
When the babies are older, add oatmeal and some strained fruit and veggies.
They love it.
