Hi all! I was just wondering if I should be worried that Rocky isn't as big as Lola. He is eating good and everything like that he just dosen't seem to be growing as quick as her. The hair is the same on both and the eyes look the same as well he just dosen't seen to be moving around as much as her and is not as big. They weigh almost the same thing he is behind by about two grams but he just dosen't seen to be as big as her! Should I be worried or could he just have been a runt or something??? Please let me know because he seems to be fine just a little smaller!! Thanks again!:grouphug :thankyou :thinking

What kind of squirrels are they again? Could you post a picture to compare the two?

I'm pretty sure they are grey tree squirrels. They are three weeks old and here are some pictures I took of them this morning! The first one is them together the next two are Lola and the last two are Rocky

Rocky seems to be perking up a little but I just want to make sure they look good cause these are my first pinkies and I'm not sure what they should look like. I think they look good but I just want to make sure! THanks:thankyou :grouphug

Rolo I think your two look good but a little skinny, especially Rocky. Does he eat well? If not, sometimes a little fruit-flavored Pedialyte in between meals will perk up their appetites....also yogurt or heavy cream added to the formula. I've never actually done that so best to ask another rehabber here who knows the ratio. :)

:thankyou Ir thank you so much for getting back to me! They both eat really well and go potty really well. They are both now b/w 40 and 46grams so I think that's good. I was puttign the cream in there formula b/c that is what someone on here told me to do for the calcium but I haven't put it in there in three days and rocky seem to be moving around more especially when he is hungary. Is ther anything else I can give them this young to make sure they are getting enough calcium??? Again :thankyou :thankyou :thankyou

I used cream in Secrets Esbilac formula, but he was 6 weeks old when I got him and Ashley at HLC's had told me it was an ok thing to do, I don't remember the proportions now.
Have they started kneading the syringe when you feed them? Both Moxie and Secret did that and it was so cute, of course once again they were older then Lola and Rocky. They would put their little paws on either side of the syringe and move them up and down just like if they were kneading on their mamma. Soooo precious.....
