My link did not work.... the following information was taken from my thread...... this light works great!
Here is the info on the Light.....
To be a full spectrum bulb, the color temperature must be 5000K or greater, and the CRI (color rendering index) must be at least 90.
I, personaly, use the Ott Lite. It does NOT say Full Spectrum on the box, but the Rep. at the company told said it DOES meet all these requirements, and IS Full Spectrum. They are not only Full Spectrum, but they are the closest light to natural daylight, and that is also what we are trying to simulate with squirrels in captivity. Chris, (a very experienced rehabber for over 25 years), uses and sells only these lights.
Any FSL must be within 24" of the squirrel, for them to get the full effect from it. I don't think the wattage relly has anything to do with it. It just depends on how bright you want the light to be.
Here's a list from the OTT Light site of where to buy the OTT OLB-17 or OLB-17R bulb:

Home Depot
the screw in s are 19.97
and they have a strip bulb also...like a florescent....
they are sold in the light bulb section!
Right now the strip style are on clearance @ 9.88
They are sold in the yellow and green box Gamma posted with flowers on it.
This is the best price on OTT lights.
I live in Tampa, where Otts home office is and shipping dept., they told me they cannot sell for less than 39.99, so Home Depot is the PLACE!
Good Luck.
They also have a small folding light...alittle bigger than a wallet...but acts like a flip phone...I guess it is the Travel Version!:flash3

I bought the one Gamma shows (second picture, yellow box with flowers on it) at Home Depot for 19.99 also! I checked all around including ebay and HD was the cheapest. Light gives off a soft glow and doesn't get hot to touch and doesn't make the surrounding area hot as it gives off no heat :D With Fallen in the cage he doesn't seem to mind it all and does takes his naps under it :thumbsup

:Welcome to TSB.
FSLs are believed to help with overall health and ability to metabolize their food. However, your squirrel still needs a balanced diet, including 75% rodent block, with lots of healthy veggies and wild foods as well.
