I posted a lot about this problem with my chippie Chewy in other threads...
well his hair loss problem is getting slightly worse -.-
the bald patches are spreading to the back and neck now, im giving him vitamines for rodents and hes been on ivermectin for a while but it seems its not helping.
hes still very playfull(all running around and sleeping much aswell)
but the skin of the bald patches are not crusty or really irritated looking , theres just no hair there! and its from both left and right side.
anyone had a similar problem or so? =(
:help

One of our rescued sugar gliders had hair loss that we think was from the cat vitamins the previous owner had been putting in the water. Once we stopped the vitamins he grew a lot of the hair back. He was always slightly bald though...:dono I don't remember what the vitamins were called. :dono

The first thing I associate to hair loss, that is not hurting the animal, is boredom.

I know it sounds weird, but my brother had a northern flying squirrel that chewed on the wires of her cage and had a bald spot on the top of her head from where her head rubbed.

I've also known someone with a chinchilla that would get bored and scratch. She scratched so much, because she was so bored, that she had a huge bald patch on her back.

This may not help, but it might let you think about the balding in a different way. Or at least it might help someone. Good luck!
