I HAVE A BABY SQUIRREL I'M TAKING CARE OF,,,ARE THERE ANY DISEASES THAT THEY HAVE OR CAN GET THAT I SHOULD KNOW ABOUT, WORRY ABOUT...AND WHAT IS RODENT PLUS THAT I'M READING ABOUT ON SOME OF THE POSTS....

There are many diseases that can affect a baby squirrel, depending on its age and situation -- how long it was out in the wild before it was rescued, whether it had become dehydrated or hypothermic, etc etc. A healthy baby squirrel usually will not develop anything worse than mange or mites....but a severely debilitated baby may have a host of internal and external parasites, squirrel pox, etc. If you can describe the condition your squirrel baby is in, and a little history about him/her, we may be able to be more specific for you.
