adding yogurt to formula for flyers

I read that adding yogurt to the formula is helpfull in building good bacteria and also helps the babies absorb more of the nutrients in their formula. Is this true? and if so what would the mixture be using powder esbilac? thanks

I use organic live cultured yogurt in all my formulas until weaning. Full strength it's 1 part esbilac + 1/3 to 1/2 part yogurt in 2 parts water. Our gut flora lives in a symbionic relationship with our bodies and we cannot absorb some nutrients without it. All mammals are born with a steril gut and we get our gut flora via what we eat ie mom's milk. But man-made formulas do not contain probiotics so we need to add them. Gut flora are living organisms and are build up over time. hope this info helps. :)
