downs. well let me start by saying they are small, our squirrels here in Nc are mostly large black/white fox, and eastern grays. she is a eastern gray. downs are short stubby bodies, large eyes, far apart. not able to distiguish distance, can stop while hanging and just let go and fall backwards. some are more tramaed than others, some with head tilt have had some head trama. I have another girl that I got in a couple weeks ago. They wien their selfs sometimes 15 weeks. I can't spell tonight I appologize. I will try to post a pic of Dodie tomorrow. She is pretty fast and normal but she is downs. she climbs up on the side of her cage and just decides shes tired and lets go to fall on her back and stares at the top until she realizes that she isn't up there no more. I have her in a 15" to top cage so no injuries will happen. I will and have dedicated to help with the downs. they are hard to feed when they are little and they do whine alot. some rehabbers can't do downs. they take hours to feed one feeding. if anyone is needing help with a downs or wants to know if that's what they have. please email me directly at cardinalmotors@windstream.net this will get you a quicker response. I will be glad to find leg (people whom travel distances mostly rehabbers to get animals to other rehabbers to tend to animals)THATS WHAT I CALL them> I will be glad to take any downs off anyone's hands just to make sure these babies are well took care of. They do require alot of time and love.
