just fed her again, hungry little girl,, (siler) for Siler City where she came from. She is doing better, head bobbing about stopped, lower lip drooped but teeth are aligning fine,, i wonder if this is from poor diet? She is definitally (spelling off) down syndrome. already had a downs,, they just take time but they are sweeties, I'll try to get some pics up today.

I'm sure a rehabber will be here soon with advice for you. My understanding is that dex is helpful only if given shortly after an injury. Do you know anything about how she was found that would indicate she was injured, falling or whatever? Or when??

I am a rehabber.. just wanting advise. seems they don't know just found her on the ground. After these past 3 feedings, seems shes perking up. maybe its the vitamins and such in the formula. my Teddy d/s guy, had the same lip thing.. they look so funny with it, like they are trying to talk, or pouting. I think I will wait on the dex idea? I know there is a section on the board of doses of meds. but I can't find it today.

I am a rehabber...
:) Yes, it sounded like you knew what you were doing and didn't need "The Basics" posting :D ---- I just meant "another rehabber" (meaning "I am not one" :) ..........

Squirrelmom, if you feel that she has had a recent head trauma the dex is recommended as an anti-inflammatory. I have the dosages if you need them -- just PM me with her weight. :)

if one eye appears to be more bulgy than the other, or if she's head bobbing (and if that's not normal for d/s babies) then dex would be good. i don't think it would hurt to try.
